Journey to Mozambique-Part 1
Thank you so much for your prayers!! God really answered! We negotiated all the airports and God provided people right when we needed them. Thank you for praying about our luggage. All 11 bags arrived with us safely and we did not have to pay any excess baggage charges.
The weekend prior to us leaving we found out that we did not have as many bags as we had first arranged with the travel agent. We were told that the twins had two bags of 23kg each when booking our flights. This was also written on our tickets. However on the Friday prior to departure, the travel agent informed us that the twins just had a luggage allowance of 10kg each. This meant that we had 4 bags packed that we could not take unless paying excess baggage. On the morning we were flying we rang the travel agent and were able to book seats to London for Abigail and Joshua and thus were able to take the 4 bags for a minimal cost. At check in we were a little over weight but God had the right people in the right place to waive the excess baggage charge. This is such an answer to prayer.
When we got to terminal 1 in Heathrow a porter 'just happened to be passing' and helped us with two trolley's of suitcases. He took us to the cab stop and we got two taxis to terminal 5. The taxi dropped us off at the door. Clare and Amir Arian came to see us at the airport. It was such a blessing to see them!! They looked after Abigail and Joshua while we repacked bags as the airline said that we could not combine luggage weight but each bag had to be a max of 23.5kg. We had to move one of Joshua's shoes from one suitcase to another; in another suitcase we moved a baby gro!!!!! It took some time but God was clearly with us enabling us!
On the plane Abigail and Joshua did so well. They took bottles as the plane ascended and descended which meant that there was no trouble with their ears. They slept most of the flight in their special seats (photos above).
