Body Building!

Yesterday, I (Melvin) had the privilege of working as a volunteer at our Intaka Church.  Alongside 15 or 16 other volunteers we made concrete to form pillars, mixed mortar and built blocks.  I am encouraged to see the pride that the guys shared as they offered their time to help construct a building for the Church to meet in.  Many months ago, the Church began buying blocks as Tithes and Offerings were received.  Their faith in action touched the hearts of outsiders (visitors, sister churches and missionaries) who then gave sacrificially towards the cause!  It is encouraging to see the local Church rising to the challenge; understanding who they are in Christ and giving of their time and skills to further the cause of the gospel and establish a faithful witness in their community.  Please pray for Pastor Francisco and the growing congregation in Intaka* as they grow in their walk with God and reflect the 'Light of the World' within their community.
*A rapidly expanding suburban region approximately 20km from Maputo City.

Hardwork? Maybe! Faith-stretching, edifying, unifying and fun!  After completely our task for the day, it was really touching to be offered a heaped bowl of rice and beans prepared by the ladies in the Church.  I forgot to take a photo of the bowl ... I forget all else when food is set down!!!

Soon we ought to send Abigail, Joshua and Noah as Volunteers!!!!
