It was a blessing to have Jonathan Morton from Headquarters visit the field. His advice and timely encouragement was very much appreciated.
This photo was taken at our annual team retreat from 1st-4th February. This was a special time together when Jonathan brought us encouragement and challenge from God's Word.
This year's seminary classes started this week. Each Monday for the next 12 weeks we will teach a class on Holistic Ministry.
Alongside a discipleship programme, Sharon is busy working with the pastor's wives on ideas for marketable crafts. This is going really well and already some of them are seeing fruit for their labour. One lady has testified that she has been able restart her house construction project with some of her earnings. Praise the Lord! 'May the favour of the Lord rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us - yes, establish the work of our hands' Psalm 90 v 17.
Very heavy rainfall across regions of Southern Africa has severely affected areas in Mozambique, particularly in Gaza Province. It is estimated that over 150,000 people have been displaced with the loss of over 100 lives. Please pray that the necessary help will reach those suffering most. The humanitarian need is huge with a lack of food, shelter and sanitation. There are huge health risks and little prospect for many of being able to be self-sufficient in the coming months since the flood waters have destroyed all the crops in the region). As missionaries partnering with local churches we are planning to distribute aid next week. We invite you to prayerfully consider contributing to this tremendous need by donating to One Mission Society, 1 Sandileigh Avenue, Manchester, M20 3LN, UK (MOZAMBIQUE DISASTER RELIEF PROJECT 402600).
