Settling In!

It is hard to believe that it is August already!  We have had a busy month as we have settled into our home here in Mozambique once again.  Ian and Sharon Thompson joined us on our return and stayed 2 weeks with us!  This was a huge blessing as we took things out of boxes and started to organise them! There are still many boxes sitting around our house!! Abigail, Joshua and Noah are making good use of them!
Ian and Sharon.  Please pray for Sharon.  Just last week she fell and broke her leg.  Pray for a quick recovery for her.

Just after Ian and Sharon left we had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Editoria Fiel Conference in Maputo.  The theme was Christian Family.  We had the privilege of sitting under great Bible teaching.  One of the speakers was Ted Tripp the author of the book 'Shepherding a Child's Heart'.  It was great to hear him speak and we both felt encouraged and built up spiritually.  We praise God for our friends and colleagues Paulo, Fernanda, Laura and Luana Almeida who looked after our children to enable us to attend! We are truly blessed!!

We have had the opportunity to renew friendships with our brothers and sisters at Khongalote Church where we attend each sunday.  We are once again developing a program for the children during the service where we can sow God's Word into their precious hearts.  Pray that this will yield much fruit!

Our precious friends Juka and Elina returned from the North of Mozambique where they have been missionaries.  We were invited to their return party.
I have been getting used to my kitchen and gas oven again.   I was asked to make 100 butterfly cakes for a wedding.  I am thankful that I have a gas oven.  The electricity supply has been really bad recently.  There have been power cuts most night and also during the day.  This can be very frustrating!  Pray that the electric supply will improve as the weather heats up.
Today Abigail and Joshua started school.  The house was quiet all day without them and I cannot believe that they are the age to go to school.  Praise God they enjoyed their day! Pray for blessing and protection for them.
For the past 9 days it has been a blessing to have Jonny and Kathryn Gault with us.  They have been experiencing life here in Mozambique.  Jonny and Melvin have been catching up on what has been happening in Helping Hands.  Many of you have heard us talk about John Paul.  It was encouraging for Melvin to see him again and the adapted tricycle provided by Helping Hands is continuing to function well.

I have also had the opportunity to meet with the Nkateko ladies group twice since returning.  It is encouraging to see their growth and how their relationships have really developed.

Please also find our latest prayer letter in the column at the side of this blog.  If you click on the link you will be able to download it.

Thank you so much for your prayers.  We value your partnership!
